Each year, Morehead State University honors a select group of alumni for their success and accomplishments. This elite group of Eagles are chosen by members of our Alumni Association Board of Directors and span a wide range of categories. Alumni recognition is spread among four categories of awards - Alumni Hall of Fame, Notable Alumni, Rising Eagle and Eagle Spirit.
Nominations are accepted year-round and recipients are selected one year in advance. To be considered in the next cycle, nominations must be received by June 1 of a given year for induction/recognition in the following year.
The review and selection for 2024 honorees has closed. We are now seeking nominations for honorees for 2025.

Alumni Hall of Fame
The Alumni Hall of Fame provides recognition to those individuals who have achieved excellence in their profession, community service, or education at the local, state, or national level. Traditionally, the recognition would not be given for a single achievement, but rather for a collective impact in their profession or community. Alumni must have graduated from Morehead State University ten years prior to nomination and must be responsible, respected citizens of good character in their communities and professions.
Notable Alumni
Notable Alumni recognition is given to Individuals who have demonstrated success in their career fields and/or are making a difference in their communities or profession. Alumni must have graduated from Morehead State University and must be responsible, respected citizens of good character. Individuals will be recognized at annual Homecoming celebrations.
Rising Eagle
The Rising Eagle Award is given to a recent graduate of the last 10 years who has demonstrated early career and/or community service achievement. Alumni must have graduated from Morehead State University and must be responsible, respected citizens of good character. Individuals will be recognized at annual Homecoming celebrations.
Eagle Spirit
The Eagle Spirit award is given to an alumni who is an exceptionally proud and active Eagles. Recipients regularly demonstrate Eagle Pride through recruiting potential students, representing MSU in a positive manner, attending MSU events and encouraging active support of MSU among their peer groups. Recipients must be responsible, respected citizens of good character. Individuals will be recognized at annual Homecoming celebrations.

To nominate an individual for an alumni award, we ask that you complete our online nomination form. Before doing so, please review the judging categories and their weight, as this will help guide you in submitting your nomination!
One nomination form is used for all award categories - the awards committee will determine in which category the nominee best fits.
